On Monday, November 24th, the old GMS Games website will be restored from a July backup. This is due to a hosting inconvenience; the old server on which the more recent website was stored has been deleted; thus, we have no other option but to resort to restoration from previous files.

As a result, we will be looking into alternative hosting solutions in the months that end the year of 2008, and by 2009 GMS Games will hopefully be running on its own server.

Until then, all we can promise are weekly backups to combat data loss.

GMS Games is currently having some problems with its hosting. Our websites have been put back up, but due to an issue with the accounts being moved to a new server, all of the files MAY have been potentially lost. As always, we are attempting to collaborate with our hosts and get the files back.

If the files are indeed lost and we, as a team, do not manage to retrieve them, GMS Games will be forced to restore to a backup. As an addition to this possible occurence, I will personally look into hosting GMS Games, and all parts of the company site, on my own server. On such a server, I would have access to all administrative tools; thus, I could resolve such issues more easily. However, keep in mind that I will not look into this as avidly if our file problem is resolved.
